Writing tool to help you write straight?

Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to scrapbooking, but I remember coming across a little plastic swirly tool that helps you write in a straight line while writing freehand. It was sort of like a ruler, but had loops at the top that would "give" when you write. Ever since I saw it that one time, I have never come across one again!

Any leads on what that tool is called ? Or something similar?

I have one of those, it's from Creative Memories.
(I've never used it, I think I need to see it demonstrated. How does it stay in place, etc.)

hum, interesting,,,,,I just use disappearing ink to draw lines, then the ink disappears after a bit, and no lines,,,,,,,

it's the journaltopia. it's discontinued. it's not that hard to use, but I've only used mine once or twice because I already write pretty straight freehand (thank you drafting classes!)

I bought that from CM a few years back, but I have never used it.

I've never used mine either. Luckily I got it for free as a prize at a crop. I generally stamp lines or use journal cards that have lines when I journal. I like the look of lines under my writing.

I never thought of using disappearing ink before! Great idea!

I got mine on EBAY,,,just search vanishing acid free marker for scrapbooking and you'll find them,,,,,

I think I spent less than 3 bucks for it,,,

It's cool because I can draw lines with the pen, write what I want on the lines with my regular journaling pen, and the lines vanish a short time later,,,,,leaving only my journaling!

YES--it was the journaltopia! Whew, I thought I'd NEVER figure that out! It's pretty pricey now since it's been discontinued, but I'm just glad to have solved the mystery, lol.
