can the cuttlebug flatten bottle caps?

I am making a memorial album of my late uncle, who was a big Pepsi fan (out of glass bottles). I would like to use flattened Pepsi bottle caps, but I don't know whether my Cuttlebug can handle it. (That is, assuming I can FIND Pepsi in glass bottles--I know I have seen Pepsi bottles recently, I just can't remember where).

I would not try that. I think it could permanently altar your calibration on the BUG. I think I would try smashing them with a large mallet. You would want to put the caps between several layers of paper or padding so as not to damage the paint or lettering.

Put the caps between layers of cardboard and drive over it.

Mash with an old red sizzix machine. It DOES void you warranty tho.

The roller style machines don't mash caps well.

I wouldn't suggest it but if you use a hammer and gently smash them if would add a vintage/worn look! Good luck, can't wait to see!

When in doubt, use a hammer!

I actually do not have a Cuttlebug, but I have done this with my original Sizzix.

I saw a video on youtube and they used a cuttlebug to smash the bottlecaps. I used my sizzix to give it a try and I didn't like the result.

I'm not positive but I think I saw glass bottles at Wal-mart.

I called my local WM, and they said they had Coke bottles, but not Pepsi:(
