Post bound or D Ring?

I have been using post bound, but now.... I'm trying to keep things nice and neat and "clean" and have been looking about D ring albums. I'd like all my albums to match.

What are your preferences? What do you like? I guess my other question would be, what brands do you like? I can't make up my mind...I want something that I know won't *go out* after a year or two--like the one I pick gets discontinued or the color gets discontinued

I use both. I use the d-ring for the yearly albums and postbound for special ones like my wedding,honeymoon, cat, etc.

I buy whatever brand, I liek to pick different styles of cover so brand doens't matter too much other than keeping to ones that you can easily get refills for.

My only issue with D rings is that they are so much long than the post bound. I have a hard enough time trying to store my post bond 12x12 albums.

Another Dring fan here, I use SU but have seen some nice others even at Wally World. I am like you, want all my albums to "match"

I've got two post bound and 1 D-ring. I like the D-ring for those I'll be adding to in the future, like albums for my GD's. Once I have the post bound done I doubt I'll add to them.

d ring!!!

I think with post bound in some point your album with look disorganize.

So, are D rings, relatively new to the scrap industry? or have they been around and jsut becoming more and more popular?

I like the American Crafts cloth covered D rings.

Another Dring fan. I do different size layouts when the mood strikes me. I just put all the layouts together, no rhyme or reason.

My fave d-rings have been the Making memories 12x12 Noteworthy line. I can get more pages in the AC bare naked albums but I can never make up my mind on what to do about the naked cover.

D-rings have been around as long as I've been scrapping, 15yrish. They were hard to find for a number of years but Hiller was still out there making them.

As for post-bound, I will only go with the Colorbok Perfect albums. I've just started getting into D-ring so I can't give you much feedback yet on those. I'm trying the American Crafts D-rings right now. They are MUCH easier to use, but I'm not convinced I like the look of them as much as post-bound. The big gap between the pages when open bugs me.

I only use post bound when I know I won't be adding more to it!

Prefer D-ring but lately, I've been finding albums that have the Snap-Lock already in the albums.

my very first album was a d-ring but since then ive only used post bound. i know the d-rings are easier but i like the look, both inside and out, of the post bound so much better.

i typically get an album and 2 refill sets at the same time, put them in, then add my pages. much easier for me that way.

as for brands...i usually get colorbok perfect albums or k&co. i do have a few random others, but i only buy better quality ones. in my experience, the cheaper ones tend to fall apart.

I've just recently started scrapping. My plan is to use the D-ring for my LOs and albums in progress...with their ultimate destination being a post-bound album.

Most of my pages don't have to butted up to other but for those that I cut a photo or title across the pages, I want close.

I staple on the "spine" part of the sheet protector, not quite on the paper itself. Someone here sewed hers protectors together. I'll stick with my staples.

I like the American Craft D ring. I make lumpy pages and the D ring gives me lots of room.

I guess it depends on your definition of "relatively."

My friend who introduced me to scrapbooking has only used D-ring. I think shes been scrapping for more than 10 years.
