Donna, I can't tell you how many times I have something designed in my head & from my head to paper it changes. Sometimes a lot, sometimes only a little, but never what it started out to be. I guess that is why they call it "creativity". Sometimes I call it "flying by the seat of my pants!:)))

I don't often have a vision in my head, but when I do it's generally much better than the final project.

This one worked out better than I thought it would. I am trying to use up a paper pad.

DOnna, I used to have vision! Would lay in bed and ideas constantly came...nowadays, since I have been doing this so very long, I just start a project and it evolves ( or not lol!) as I go along!

Sometimes I get a very clear vision of what I want my layout to look like but then I can't find the paper I need to make my vision a reality. This frustrates me because I get bogged down by what I wanted my vision to be and I can't move forward.

Maybe you just need to roll yourself a fat one and gaze through a purple haze.

I just go with a starting point. No real vision for me. The project (hopefully) begins to have a life of it's own and I follow it's lead. Sometimes it's fabulous and sometimes it crashes and burns. LOL

I don't think that has ever happened to me. My LOs never end how I start them in my mind...even lifts often end up way out in left field.

Oh I take that back! The only LO that actually turned out the way I completely planned was my Little Mermaid LO. I know I wanted it to look like we were looking through a porthole and I knew I wanted to create the seaweed out of leaf punches, because I saw someone else do it with pastel colors and thought "oh that looks like seaweed!" And the beads had started becoming popular on LOs at that moment. Turely it was just luck that I thought of all those elements together before I sat down at the table. haha
