Hi, im making a baby book for my sister. I want to do a first haircut page, but i would like to somehow leave her a place where she can put a lock of the babies hair on the page. Every idea i look at online, i need to have the lock of hair already to make it. Does anyone have any ideas of how i could make it so she can just add the lock of hair herself to the page?

I would make a pocket out acetate if you want to go simple you could get a small zip lock baggie found in craft stores...I'd decorate the top of the bag on the front side only...then she could open and close it but the "zip lock" part of it would be disguised.....just a thought....maybe add a ribbon to the page that she could use to tie the lock of hair up with....that might work too.

hello....you can add a lil envelope, especially for scrapbooking,. michaels and hobby lobby carries them,

Get the tiny plastic bags for jewelry findings. I've seen them at HL. Those are perfect for locks of hair, teeth, etc. I've used them in my girls' baby books and they work really well! Staple the bottom flap to the page, and then it can still be opened and sealed by mom later.

I used a chipboard frame and put the hair lock in the middle of it ... kinda like a filmstrip took to it.

I did this layout a while back... Like the others have mentioned, try using a small ziplock bag. This one came from the haircut place where I took my son to get his first haircut. You can use a brad to tack the bag in place. When your sister is ready to put her baby's hair in the bag, she could remove the brad.

You could add a piece of ribbon to wrap around the first lock.
