stamp storage woes

i love stamps but dont use them that much because the storage i have is not that convenient. I have them in clear cd cases. I have found that sometimes they stick too much and i am afraid i will rip them. I know that what i really want is more like a binder with a zipper around it so they don't fall out. But i don't want to have a ton of binders especially if they are expensive - Tim Holtz . I have the zutter in my shopping bag but i really don't have wafr thin dies so that doesn't really seem practical. Suggestions? Im overwhelmed.

I keep mine in clear 8.5 x 11 cases from Stampendous. They stick to the cling sheets. I have hundreds and this works for me.

I use thick zippered binders that I bought at a popular online store, but can probably be found other places. I use photo inserts in them for most of the stamps. For large ones, I use a letter-size sheet protector. I just put the stamp name inside with the stamp, using a glue dot to keep the piece of paper from falling out. I take the back plastic off of the clear stamp and the stamp sticks to the protector pretty well. With the plastic left on, the stamp slides around too much. If a stamp happens to fall out, it's still inside the zippered case, but I seldom find any loose stamps.

I have quite a few flat stamps, so I have several cases: Holiday, phrases, borders/frames/flourishes , and one for everything else with subject dividers (animals, flowers, travel etc.)

I'm OCD so I copy a picture of the stamp (usually copy if from online, or scan the package) and with the picture I put the title, company that makes the stamp, UPC and model numbers, and when/where I purchased it & price. I keep this in a file on my computer so it's easy to look through and see exactly what stamps I have and which binder they are in.

My biggest organization hint for myself is to quit buying stamps...but I'll probably just buy a fifth binder :>)

Mine are in Inque clear acrylic storage containers, then in hanging file folders.

I have seen people get a three ring binder and some 8.5x11 cardstock they would laminate them. Then punch three holes into it. Then put there rubber and clear stamps on them and sticks well for them. It easy to flip through and find what you need. Or you can maybe buy some of those Avery Elle Storage Pockets. Hope this helps you out to find the right one for you to store your stamps.

Thanks so much. I thought about it and i have two zippered binders that i used for stickers. I will empty that and find some sheets to stick the stamps to and put them maybe in page protectors. i like the idea of tabs or dividers by subject.
