StazOn vs Archvial Ink

Mar '10 Dridpath

Which of these products (StazOn or Ranger Archival Ink) is best for stamping on acetate or other general scrapbooking papers, vinyl, and leather? From their descriptions they seem pretty similar, but since I have never used either of them, I'd like to know what others think.

definitely stazon. It's the only ink I know of that will completely dry on acrylic or acetate.

Archival means it is acid-free and won't harm your photos and is UV resistant so it resists fading. StazOn is archival but specifically designed for non-porous and semi-porous surfaces like glass, acetate, metal, glossy paper and vellum.

One word of caution when using Staz-On (or any ink for that matter) on acrylic sheets is be very careful not to move the stamp pad when pressing down. When stamping on pictures with Staz-On, for some reason, I ALWAYS move the stamp, even just a bit. I haven't yet found that fine line between pressing too hard (and moving) or not pressing hard enough (and missing spots).

I use the Perfect Printing Pouch when doing this, it gives the stamp/ink some traction and it doesn't slip
