I just got back from DG. I was looking for non-scrapbook items to use on a page and ended up in the picture frames isle. They had to different sets of plain colored paper, 10 sheets for $1 and page protectors 10 for $3. That's much better than the 5 for $5 i pay at Wal-Mart. Everyone check out your local DG!

I KNOW! i saw the same thing the other day when i was there. i couldnt believe it! the dg closest to me even had 12 x12 scrapbooks, die cuts, and alpha stickers plus all the things you mentioned.

Wow! I was at DG yesterday, also looking for non scrap stuff that I could use-cheap (Great minds think alike)! The one by my house doesn't have that stuff yet, but there are 3 or 4 more in town, so I will be sure to check it out! Thanks!

i rarely go to the dollar store so i am going to have to check this out.

I saw the alpha stickers on an end cap hangy thing...I know the one at my moms has the el chepo (like so cheap cant even have the a in it!) 12x12 albums, but didn't see diecuts or protectors.

What size protectors are they? What albums do they go in? Tell us more...

they are 12 x12 postbound protectors. They also had those albums. I know what you mean about the albums! They had those too, and if i get into a $ bind and really need an album i know where to get it!

I picked up some Patterned Paper at mine -- on Friday -- six pages 12 x 12 for $1. My store had the paper in the school supply section. They only had pattern paper and solid paper; the Patterned Paper was "holidays" "birthday" and "denim."

okay just read the part about postbound protectors! i am so excited...are they true 12x12? do they fit in any album...whats up?

is this a Southern company? We have 99 Cent stores and Dollar Trees but no Dollar General. Agh so frustrating!

We have Dollar General in Iowa. It's not a store where everything's $1, there's more expensive stuff, too.

A few months ago I got some small punches there for only $1. I was pleased with the quality for the price, although part of the plastic base broke off of one. It still worked, but didn't look right. I'd still buy the ones I didn't get before if they got them in again.

i compared the DG page protectors and the more expensive ones from walmart and they are the exact same size!

OMG!!! I have two Dollar General's here and never thought to look there! The big Dollar General distribution center is located here too!! Look out DG here I come!!!!!!

the $3 albums are not true 12x12 but are if you unfold the binding- great for a fun or BOM type of album but not for a family, baby, wedding, etc. I bought one of the punches when they had them but they only had one type and never got more in
I cant wait to check out the paper. I hope ours gets some soon!

Oh, btw- for page protectors if you have a Hobby Lobby, their 50 for $12.99 go on half price sale every 4-6 weeks at $6.50- so thats not too shabby of a deal- therefore if your DG doesn't stock these, try hobby lobby!

Hi just came back from there myself. thanks for the tip and I emailed my friend too. I got some die cuts, stickers and paper 10 sheets for a dollar. primary,pastel and printed. I looked at the albums and they seemed fine, I figured I would wait until I am done with this scrapbook before I buy another. I couldn't pass up the paper and stickers a dollar each.

wouldn't ya know, i read your message at work today, went after dd's cheer practice and found paper that i had been looking for weeks, white back ground with balloons for a bday lo. sad part i settled for different paper and finished the lo's yesterday, but i got the paper anyway cause there is always next year bday--

I actually found a few things at Office Depot for scrapbooking. I found page protectors, paper, stickers, and various other items, and they were a bit cheaper then one would find in the craft stores.
