Europe question the new tax rule.

Anyone in EU?
The new tax rule that started july 1 2021 the treshold 22 euro/usd 25 is gone. Now we have to pay on all online shopping from outside of EU 21% VAT tax plus 13 euro administrative handling customs costs. The 13 costs might vary by carrier.
I hear the news too late otherwise would have ordered stuff earlier this year.
Anyone in Europe how are you coping with this? Any idea?
To USA folks if you order from EU what if any are your tax costs on online shopping?

In the USA sales taxes vary by location. In my location, Southern California, Riverside County, the rate is 8.75%. Most of the on-line stores I do business with collect taxes based on the shipping address of the goods. Sorry can't comment on EU's situation, except to say international purchases are always very expensive.

I am in the UK and we have also had some very difficult changes to deal with. Companies outside of the UK have to collect the VAT over a certain amount and pay that on our behalf before shipping so many international companies are no longer shipping to the UK (including EU companies) should also say sb.com DOES offer sales on International shipping sometimes - keep an eye out for them.
