Big Lots

Ok, I know this has been posted elsewhere but I can't seem to find it.

A Big Lots recently opened here and I've been meaning to go in it to check it out. What kinds of things scrapbooking-wise can I possibly find? I'm still not very good at figuring out scrapbooking uses for "non-scrapbooking" things so any help is appreciated.

Although, y'all should be proud of me. Last night I was addressing a bday card to my sil and thought "the front of this card would make a great sketch for a layout (at least the beginnings of one)" so I told my hubby not to laugh at me b/c I took a picture of the card.

I know when I go to any Big Lots around town, it can be different as to what they have. More times it's stickers and embellishments, though sometimes it can be paper or other stuff. Can't say I've seen lots and lots, but some neat stuff at really great prices.

You can go to biglots.com and type in your zipcode and look at hte ad to see what they have on sale.

I got vellum tags at my Big Lots for $.99 per package. I think there are 6 or 8 tags in each pacakage. Without seeing what your store has, I wouldn't be able to tell you what to look for that isn't a sb item. Now at Dollar Tree, I have seen many non-sb things you can use.

I've bought individual wood mounted stamps there for under $1 and whole sets of stamps that look wood mounted but are really foam mounted with a thin layer of wood for $1.99 for the set. Even foam mounted stamps are great at that price.

I found some fiskars templates for 1.99 I got the star and oval ones. thats the only reason I got the cutter. I also found some papers, and stickers but our biglots is pretty picked over. It have better luck at the dollar tree. Oh but at big lots dont forget to go into the arts n crafts section there is more stuff there that can be used too.

I have been so greatful for big lots...I have recently went to one here in MN (White Bear one for all you MN ladies) and they had a ton of sb stuff....DooDads, adhesives, photo corners, zig markers...yes the writer ones...it all depends on the store...but this was a great find, rarely have I seen this type of stuff there!!
