i think this is a bit

I have actually been looking for somewhere locally that has them so I cantry them! I think they would be great bit I see myself buying a zillion of them.

I have thought of buying the cheapie mp3 players and saving different "memo" files for each page and just attaching it in a book.

I think it sounds really cool, in fact, the only thing keeping me from buying it is listening to myself on the answering machine.

I would have loved it before my grandfather had passed....he used to have little one liners and over time your forget those kinda things...It would have helped me remember. I would also use it for my kids too....or for me to record messages to my kids for there scrap book...lots of different uses to it.

the only prob with that is to listen you need the device. so for gifts or anything, you'd have to buy a whole kit. i think if you need sound, just get a little box-y thing and slip it in a pocket or embellishment.

wow you girls found the perfect reasons to use it ,i just found it kinda funny to have something like this on youre page saying ,like ,this is youre mother jara jara ,LOL

but it might be cool like you said to record the first word or something like that

I think though I would forget to record what I needed for a layout.

About 10 years ago my sister purchased an ornament with a recording device, recorded my niece and 2 nephews (young children) and sent it to me (I lived 400 miles from home and couldn't get home for the holidays. It was a wonderful present and I will always cherish it.

As for putting one in an album.... I don't have children of my own but I think capturing their "language", laughter, gibberish is wonderful. I thought I had seen these that were pretty flat and would easily fit "into" a sb page, and were NOT as pricey.

As for giving one to a teacher (as the ad suggests) PLEASE!! I think the teacher has heard enough of the kids during the year to last her forever! She would probably erase it and reuse it!

I want to use it to record my son's voice before it changes and after it changes so when his voice gets really DEEP I can remember the sweet little voice he used to have.

I probably wouldn't use it. Knowing me I would lose the device that plays the sound.

It sounds like a good idea, and I could definately see a use for it. The only problem is the cost, and the idea you need an extra device to even hear what's on the strip. I'm waiting for something you can add to your page, and just press it to hear the sound...

Neat idea, but instead of using that big device each time I wanted to listed to one of the strips, I would rather use those buttons you can put on a layout to record a voice. Seems a lot easier to me...
