New BasicGrey Line- Two Scoops

BG has announced a new line called Two Scoops (there are pics on their site).

I don't want to offend those who may like it, but I looked at it and went UGH!!! It's not what I expect from BG at all...especially with those "Fat Cupids." I loved their Valentine's Day line last year...Blush.

What does everyone else think of it?

I don't care for the fat cupid paper or the plaid, but I love the rest of it. Of course, I also love pink and pastels.

Not sure I'd use the rub-on roller, unless I tried it and found it to be much better than the stick that comes with the American Crafts rub-ons. That has worked great for me so far.

I have to admit, I love BG, but I am not a fan of this line. I don't use many pastel colors.

Exactly. I always expect to fall head over heels for anything BG and this is ok but not WOW!! Same goes for Figgy Pudding actually. I did like the swirlie stamps though!

I am not partial to pastels either, but I LOVE THIS LINE!! And the rub on roller, awesome!

Wow...a lot of people seem to like pastels from BG. It sounds like it's a good thing that they're branching out! I'm not a pastel person myself, though I did like Phoebe and LilyKate. Maybe this one is just a little too...minty...for my taste. <giggle> I can't wait to see what people create with it, though.

I agree with an earlier poster about the rubon roller. I love my AC stick, so I'd definitely want to try this out first before decided whether to buy or not.

I HATE the fat cupids and the most of the rub-ons, but I like the other papers a lot, especially the blues and greens. I won't be buying it though, since I rarely use pastels.

I do like the roller. If it works as promised, I'd love to get rid of the popsicle sticks.

I am not sure I will spend the cash for the rub on roller since I have tons of popsicle sticks lol

I just posted my comments on the blog. I like the florals.. and pastels are nice for spring/Easter LOs. I admit the plaids are little hard to use...

I don't care for the cupid, but the rest was pretty cute, loved the rub-ons, but don't know about the roller, I agree that I would have to try it first.

I'd buy some of the paper but IMO Princess and Girly Girl stuff has been done enough, and I have 5 dds!

As a group, it is definitely...um... sweet. But I like the individual papers, and would very likely buy them all!

Except for the cupids- those are kinda creepy with their wee pointy legs...

And ix-nay on the rub-on rubber. Come on already! Companies should stop making tools "just because they can". It is silly how much they want for a fancy Popsicle stick!

Oooh. Please carry it. I like it quite a bit. I was actually surprised as most of the most recent releases left me a little cold.

now I am not the HUGEST BG fan - and I don't care for pastels - but to me it doesn't look superduper light - would have to see it IN PERSON - but I kinda like it I think what I like is that it's not all grungy and I LOVE the greens & blues too

As soon as I saw this I knew I would have to have the whole paper line. I have not bought any BG since Lily Kate - I have just not felt that NEED. I think this is beautiful and I NEED it

Keep in mind that this is biased because I'm a big BG fan.

I love it, especially those letters... mmm! It DEFINITELY reminds me of ice cream... and hey, I even like the plaid.

I like the "lightly patterned" pastels that I can use for backgrounds for my baby BoM. I always think BG rub ons are kind of ugly, the titles are overflourished. Still, I'd get it.

Not my favorite. It's not very Basic Grey like IMO, a lot of the paper looks like it came from other companies. I like the spumoni paper but that's about it.

I like some of the papers,rub ons,and stamps. I agree that it doesn't seem very much like BG,yet I haven't seen it in person!

I love it!!! Love the diffent choice of colors. tHe last selections were pretty dark. I like bright colors. Don't like the cupid paper. Probably would not buy the tool. Wasn't really into the last lines that much. I did like a few papers here and there, but this line has a lot of cute ones that I can see myself using.

The rub-on roller sounds pretty nice. Not sure I like the paper much. It is definitely pretty but I am drawn to brights myself.

I like most of it but there is some that I don't like. I rarely like all of the individual papers in their collections, so I prefer to buy it by the individual paper instead of by the collection. I will buy some of this collection.

I am in the "getting tired of BG" group, but I admit to liking the colors in the Scoops line. I am kind of weird about my BG, though. I buy it and then never use it. I just like having it and looking at it! LOL

I love it! I usually don't buy alot of the pp's. I do love Basic Grey rub-ons and their 'solids'. This paper I really love though! The stamps are terrific, too!!

I love the stamps, the stickers, but I also agree with others that I would like to be able to choose which papers I want to buy, instead of the whole pack.

Well, I for one have always loved BG and have been a total BG junkie, that is up until the last 4 releases, I only liked Periphery, but didn't LOVe it. However, I DO love this new line. I guess it's just personal taste and preference!!! And Kelly Goree has done some beautiful work with it!!!

I'd use the Two Scoops paper for my boys (who are 32 and 30...not so much boys) as well as the DD, DGD, DDIL and any other people I scrap. Long as it looks good on the layout, what do I care if people think it's girly paper?

Not a huge fan of this line at all and certainly would never purchase a rubon roller. But I could be in the minority here.

Some of the papers are cute. i do just fine with my popsicle sticks, TYVM.

I wouldn't buy the whole collection, but maybe just a couple papers.
