Disney Autograph books

I am going to Disney in about a week. I wanted to make my daughters special autograph books. But wanted to know all the characters I should include. I know Mickey Minnie Pluto, etc. However if we go to other parks and meet Dora or Alladin...do they sign the books too? Can all characters you meet sign the books???

Yes they can. When I went I had Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Belle, Aladdin, Jasmine, Chip, Dale, Stitch, and tons of other characters sign my book. Any character will sign. The princesses are harder to get to. I couldn't get to Cinderella or Snow White. Or even Mary Poppins. They will cut the line off after a certain amount of time.

I know a couple of the characters we met couldn't sign (because of gloves/hands), but they had stamps for books. Buzz Lightyear was that way.

And make some generic pages for characters you didn't think about meeting. I didn't know we would see JoJo and Goliath, and every now & then we ran across a character I wasn't sure who it was... (for example a duck in an aviator suit -- looked sort of like Donald, but not...)

Make sure you have your book open to the page you want them to sign when you approach them... otherwise they open the book and sign wherever it lands.

I made one and took it to Disney and it was SO much easier because it wasn't bulky. I just printed the ecuts, then cut them out, put them on a ring and put a piece of chipboard on each end. Fits nicely in a back pocket.

Dora?? which was is that? I got the disney book. Pretty much they are all there, villians, princesses, all of them, Chip & Dale, Mary Poppins, Cruella, Snow White, Cinderella, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Pluto, Jasmine, Ariel, Pochontas, Jafar. Some come out after the parades, some have certain times or areas that they are in, if you go to a character breakfast or lunch thats a great place to collect autographs. My fav was Chef Mickey's. Also some are at Animal Kingdom, Epcot, MGM or Magic Kingdom Exclusively. I got some disney scrap items at disney world for my trip. Have fun on your trip!! Memories last a life time.

I didn't make a special autography book when my DS went to Disney w/ my DH. What I did instead was scan the autograph book they bought at disney, printed the autographs on cardstock and then put the picture of the corresponding character(s) next to it. Unfortunately, I no longer have the pages in my gallery. If you want to see an example, let me know and I'll reload them to my gallery.

We bought the autograph book and the big pen so the characters with gloves could sign. If you want to get ALL the characters you need to coordinate, but lots of people at information know the schedules of who will be where when.

Then I scanned the pages into my computer and just used the digital version of the signatures for my layouts. Well... only did one so far, but you know what I mean.

Dora's not a Disney character. I think there might be a Nickolodeon park nearby but I don't know about autographs.

I have an example of one in my gallery. There are tons of characters. You can get the most popular ones at the Magic Kingdom in Toon Town. You can see 4 at once Make the book large. I used half a sheet of 8 1/2 by 11.

The Incredibles stamp. We also saw Jojo and Goliath and the characters from Little Einsteins and Kim Possible. Diffferent parks have different ones too. Jungle Book is in animal kingdom. Tv shows are in MGM.

Nickelodeon used to be at Universal Studios. They have a few things still there and have a few characters wondering around but they just opened there own park in the Mall of America. They also have a section in various theme parks across the US. Kings Island, here in Ohio, has a Nickelodeon section in the park.

Nickelodeon has the Nickelodeon Hotel in Kissimee and they have character breakfasts too. If you want those character you may be able to arrange that for a day.

I always purchase the autograph books there because they sell the type that has a photo sleeve on the opposite page, so you can see the photo of the character and your child, and then have the autograph right next to it.

Gee I have had a lot of responses since I've been away. I also have learned alot through your post. Like who is JoJo and Goliath? There are so many charcters that have not came to my attention, that why I asked of course so I would not leave any characters out.

I will definately make generic pages for any character I forgot. However the signature by the LO is a good idea I will definately keep that in mind.

Wow thanks for the heads up I sure would not want to have them mess up the whole book. But now thaty I'm thinking about it he kids will have the books and with everything moving so fast it will be no telling what will happen. I guest my best bet would be to make the book but not add alot of detatil.

JoJo and Goliath used to have a show on Disney Channel called JoJo's Circus, but now they just have a small bit show called "Feeling Good With JoJo." My nieces were JoJo and Goliath for Halloween a couple of years ago (too cute).

I just ended up buying the autograph book at Disney and using that... three years later, my kids still take it to whatever park (Universal & Islands of Adventure this year)... so we have more than Disney characters signing. I did a separate layout in my Disney book with photos of them getting the signatures. Also, at some of the stores, they have scrapbook supplies, and I bought a packet of stickers that look like the character siggies for that layout. I'll try to take a photo and upload it, but that was very early in my scrapbooking "career" and is NOT one of my best layouts! LOL

This is a great idea. I have pics and an autograph book from when my DD when to disney. I will have to try this idea!

I made a homemade autograph book for my two kids before we went to Disney World this past April, I decorated the covers but left the inside pages blank because you never know which characters you are going to run into and I didn't want to create a lot of bad feelings if we didn't get a chance to see so-and-so. I held the pages together with loose-leaf rings (decorated with ribbons) so that after we got back I could rearrange the pages into a more logical order. I had the characters sign only the right side, and I added a photo of my child with the character on the facing page. We didn't fill up the autograph book with autographs so I used the extra pages like a photo album of some favorite photos from our trip. My kids really like their books.

Also, when I had taken apart their books to rearrange the autographs I also scanned the best autograph from each character (they signed both books but inevitably one was neater than the other) and then printed the scans out at reduced size on cardstock. Then I cut these mini-autographs out and am using them on my scrapbook pages (still a work in progress).

I made cards that the characters could sign because you never know who you will meet. I didn't decorate the cards, other than ink the edges in bright colors. I made 18 cards and almost ran out but a Cast Member gave me a few extras. If you want signatures and you have good timing or are willing to stand in lines, you can get lots and lots of signatures and photos. Did you know that Goofy is left handed?

I'm of the same thought- make it generic and have the characters always sign on one page (make it left or right - right's probably easier because you can flip to book back to that page and then do a pic on the facing page. I also like the idea of a large oversized pen for the characters with gloves. I never even though to do an autograph book when I go to Disneyland. Then again, I'm not a big fan of crowds and waiting in line for stuff so I tend to avoid things like that. The last time I was there was 1999 New Years! Talk about CROWDS! OMG!

we did all the easy ones the seven darfs, robin hood and frier tuck, the sherrif. Piglet, Tiggger, Pooh the country bears, aladdin, jasmine and the genie! we did wait and hour and half to see mickey but the line was snail pace and we hadn't even been to a half the park! so we moved on!

Wow those autograph books are awesome!

So if I make blank pages I will be able to make out the signatures in the end. My fear is that the handwriting would be unreadable. Boy these books are really causing me anxiety. I havent started on the books right now I am making memory game cards with a Disney theme.

No problem reading the autographs. The characters get lots of practice signing. And the signatures are evocative of the character's personality. It's fun! The characters with gloves or paws that prevent them from signing use a stamp.

Don't forget the Alice in Wonderland characters! They were the most fun. The Queen of Hearts wouldn't give my son his autograph book back for a while. She kept moving it when he tried to take it. The Mad Hatter had to take different crazy pictures with my dd and her friends. We found them near the tea cup ride. The group rooms for the main characters were the best for us. We had to wait a little while, but we had more time with them. They are in Toon Town. We did the character dinner with Pooh and his friends, and my dd just happened to be chosen as chef of the day. She got to spend time decorating cupcakes with all the characters and we had lots of photo ops! They signed her chef hat.
