    Hi Dawna, hoping to have something to share this month :}
  • Jen E
I'm at a weekend crop so I'm creating a few pages with mixed media backgrounds. I love my stencil butters and ink sprays.
  • Jen E
  • Eapipkin

I used Simon Hurley's Lunar Paste and Tim Holtz Distress Ink.
  • PJD (Petra)

I decided to do a MM heritage page with one of the rescued photos from an old album. I started with blank white card stock and created the BG, using ink blending, stenciling, stamping and a few water spatters.
  • Eapipkin
That picture is so sweet, Petra, and I love your background work! Great job!
  • Dawna.s Place

A little mixed media - stencil butter and watercolor paints to make
  • Eapipkin

I used Art Alchemy Aged Brass on the key, distress ink with the stencil and inked around the edges of the tag and picture.

For the BG I took DO ink pads directly to paper, swiped them across the area and then spritzed it to let the colours run into each other. I stenciled over the top of the BO using paste and more inks.
  • Lisn2cats
Petra, do you gesso your papers first? I keep going back and forth if it's really necessary. Seems like either way, the paper warps.
  • PJD (Petra)
Lis, I generally only gesso lightweight paper. The white cardstock I use is normally sturdy enough to take the wet stuff, but even then it warps. I usually spritz the back of the card to counter the warp, but I NEVER get anything that has not warped to some degree.

I don't mind, a couple of days in the clear protector page in my albums and all looks fine laughing emoji
  • Goaldriven1
Gesso's, embossing powder, metal trinkets, etc.
  • PJD (Petra)

Plenty of water splats and posca pen splatters (white)
  • PJD (Petra)
    Fun

Just a little acrylic paint applied with an old store card to get scratched lines.
