thats a good one!!! when DH goes with me to the LSS and they have those stamp cards (ex. say you spend $20 they will stamp the $20 on your card) well i always pull mine out to get mine stamped and hes leaning over me to see what my card says he always gives me a look like when did u spend all this.. lol men just dont understand!!!

NEVER take DH to the scrapbook store...it's bad news for everyone

DH will wait in the car but NEVER let him come in..mine would totally go crazy if he saw how much this stuff costs

I think he believes that the paper is really cheap and the rest of the stuff costs hardly anything..so I'm going to let him live in fairyland and continue to shop alone!! Although...my son is 5 1/2 now and he's learning to read and listens when I'm checking out and a couple of times he's repeated what the checkout persons says...that will be $60.72....I just distract him so he doesnt blurt it out later

what a funny story, my husband usually walks away while I go pay. Hey if he can spend money on tools and camper stuff them I'm allowed to spend money on scrapbooking stuff!!

This is too funny!!! My dh collects transformers...so as long as I let him get what he wants...he lets me get what I want!! He goes to Toys r us, I go to Michaels!! He still cant believe how much stuff costs though....especially when the total is $80+and I leave with 1 bag!!!!!

Yesterday, while we were out shopping, Itold my dh that I needed to make a quick stop at my LSS to pick up a few sheets of paper I needed. When we arrived, I told him I'd be quick. He said that he wanted to come in and see the store. He was actually walking up and down the paper aisles and asked what type of paper I was looking for. I told him the type I was looking for and he found the paper and brought it to me. When I checked out, I was praying the clerk didn't say, "gee, that's all you're buying today?". It only cost me $2.50 for the purchase.

last year my dh bough a 4 wheeler and motorcycle! I know scrapbooking gets a little costly, but I have a lot of catching up to do!!! He hears about that when he complains about my scrapbooking!

I guess I'm lucky! My DH will actually walk around a LSS with me, and ask me....Is that all you're getting today? He loves looking at the pages I've already made, and he's always so excited when we get new pictures developed so I can make more.

OMG!!! Don't they know!?!?! Once I went into my old LSS in Omaha, I was talking to the clerk, and I was like, "Man, Brandon would kill me if he knew how much I spend on sbing..." She told me that what she does is in her checkbook, she just makes it out to Safeway (the grocery store) so that if he looks, he just thinks she picked up some food!!! LMAO!! I laughed so hard!!! What we do to hide our addiction!!!

OMG! I had to post this - I about died on the spot!

I had convinced my dh to take me to the scrapbook store last night on our way to dinner to get some paper I needed (wanted) and he agreed. I told him I would be real quick and it would be nice if he came inside - BIG MISTAKE!! I usually go the scrapbook store on Saturday mornings when he's working, but not too often cause personally I don't make enough to support the habit! Anyway, I went up to the counter with him to check out and the cashier looks at me and says, wow! you cut your hair real short! Dh of course looks at me wondering why she would notice as I stumble with saying yeah.

Then she rings up my stuff (about $20.00) worth and then adds: Wow, you got off cheap tonight, you usually don't leave with less than $40-$60.00 worth! By this time, I am waiting for the floor to cave in on me as dh is raising his eyebrows!!

You can only imagine the conversation that took place in the truck after that visit! Never again is he going in with me - what was I thinking?!

LMAO! I try to cover my tracks as much as possible cause I get yelled at everytime he finds a reciept or I get a box in the mail.

Ditto!!!!! Mine goes with me quite a bit because we have to go out of town to shop but he is pretty good about it......he just doesn't know that I sometimes make a few trips without him when he is at work......

Thanks for the warning! The next time I go to the LSS I will tell the ladies to act like we have never met if I ever come in with my DH.....(I never thought of that before!!). They even put things aside for me and call me when new things come in they think I might like.

There's a gal in my book club who has trained her UPS guy to NEVER NEVER NEVER ring the doorbell and always leave any packages by the garage door.

My other half actually surprised me by coming home one day and saying, "Did you know there's a SB store right across the street?" I let out a slow, "Yeah, I did know that. Thanks for sharing!"

Me tOO! I know what you mean!!!! I too, have to sneak away especially since I don't have my own paycheck to spend on my stuff!
