do you have a child that scraps?

as I sit here at the computer my seven year old sitts on the floor watching Fairytopia and scrapping her Easter page. does anyone else have a youngster in the house who likes to do thier own page

ds is 5 and wants to scrap. I got him one of those $1 books at target and let him use my markers, and stickers and pp that I dont really care if he wastes or not. He has a blast!

My 10 yo and 7 yo dd's have both been "scrapping" for several years... I give them all my old supplies and they get their own pictures printed. So I am not freaking out when they use the BEST picture and cut it into small pieces! LOL!

My daughter is on her second album now....first o ne she did was full of pics of her fav stuff. She then mailed it as a present to her dad who lives in the states.....she uses alot of stickers and I got her her own set of pens, and she uses my scrap papers or Walmart stuff, and dollar stuff in hers but they are great. Some of her pages I think are better then mine.

My ds is 6 and no, he doesn't scrap.

I have 4 grown boys that love it that I do, but wouldn't think of ever doing it themselves!!!!! I guess they figure that's what they got Mom for!!!!!

yep, my daughter loves to scrap and my son dictates what I scrap!

I do not have any children yet, but last weekend I spent time with my 8 year old neice. We spent about 3 hours scrapbooking together - she is awesome. I turned around - she's using the sizzix, "borrowing" all my things! It was a lot of fun to scrapbook with her. When it's my turn for kids, I'll hope for one who will like to scrapbook with me!

I have 2 girls 7 and almost 4 and they both love to scrap..the go with me to the scrapbook store and pick out items for their pages..I give them a limit and tell them when they are getting close..then we all sit together make it happen. I handle all the sharp stuff and their favorite part is stickers! My 13yo son likes how I do it but doesn't want to sit still long enough to make his own..LOL He just tells me which pictures of him he thinks are "scrapworthy"..LOL

I have so many storeis about my dd and our scrap store adventures, she likes shopping for scrap stuff as much as I do, but her favorites are the stickers go figure she is 7 after all. but she does love stamping as well, and she is getting good with the larger brads.

My dd who is 4 has just started taking an interest. She has been helping me pick out papers to match picts, etc. She plays around with stickers and paper, but that it about it.

My 5 year old son "scrapbooks" by putting stickers all over paper and uses my chalks and inks... he has his own spiral bound book that he keeps all this in. My 12 year old daughter actually attended a CKU convention with me recently and loved taking the classes, she did better than many of the adults. I love having this hobby that we all can share!

I have 2 dd's who love to scrap. One is 11 and the other is 15, they have been scrapping for about 5 years now.

My DS isnt interested in it at all. As far as I know my SD isnt either. I hope it stays that way for now cause I'm super stingy with my supplies. Right now the budget only allows for one scrap addict in the family. Not only that but when I scrap, I prefer to do it alone. The only noise I want to hear is the music I have on.

I don't have children, but we are trying !!!

I can't wait to try to get my children into it. I want them to know how important it is to preserve memories.

My 8 yr old has his own CM stash. I print extra pics for him, or he takes his own pic on his film camera. I help him when he asks and sometimes I suggest or show him a technique - mostly he does what he wants with his album.

I was a child that scrapped, My hubby scraps, and my nearly 3 yr old scraps then tears apart then rescraps. LOL So yes? or maybe? He knows whst everything is ans loves to help. We had to hide the trimmer, scissors & setter so he could't use them!

I know what you mean about hididng the trimmer! I have to hide the scissors too, especially my Honey Bee's.......I let her use alot of punches and special scissors though.

My "child" scraps, but she's grown, now. But, 10 yrs ago when we started, she was a child! My 5 yr old neice scraps, too!

Kids are still little yet...but ds is starting to call his construction paper scrapbook paper!! I am hopeing to get them all into it. I just got my neices into it 11 and 12, and now my nephew 13, wants to start!!! So for now I am "teaching/showing" them some things!!

My DD just turned 8 and has been scrapping for about a year. She has her own "scrappin" items. She has done some very imaginative pages. She actually took her scrapbook to school for "Sharing" (Show & Tell). She was so proud.

My DS will turn 5 in a couple of weeks. He likes to scrap also, especially since his sister does. He doesn't have his own book yet. He helps me.

They both love to look at the old pictures of when I was little. I love to sit down with them and share my childhood memories with them. This time is so special.
Scrapbooking is such a great family hobby!

I took my 3 yr old dd to Archivers to meet up with Tricina. I was only going to pop in "real quick" I saw alot of people roll their eyes when we walked in the scrap room. But three hours later when we left, a few commented on how great she was. My dd spends alot of time at our LSS because her godmother owns it.

I got a swap package in the mail and it was late before I got home. Her daddy made her wait til I got home. When she opened it, she jumped around screaming Scrapbook Stuff! Mommy can we do it!"

Yes my dd who is 10 now has been scrapping for about 2 years now. She loves it and of course she has tons of her own stuff.

My son (nearly 12) does - off and on. When he gets the bug he'll do it, but only about a page a month or so and always about him playing hockey.

My 4 year old daughter Quinn (Quinniepooh) And 8 year old son (Tyler james) and My 15 year old son (2cute13) Have been scrapping. My 4 year old is a terror she loves at the supplies and such. The 15 year old is in a place right now were he is too cool for it. My new husband has his own scrap things too. The secret is to let them have their own things so you don't cry when they use yours. My mom just started scrapping and WOW she is the worst... She likes all my nicest stuff and she likes to borrow!

My dd is 10 and has been scrapping for about a year or so. She has some of her own tools and I always make doubles of family photos and let her have them. I just have to learn to let her do her own thing, because she does some wild pages and I have to bite my tongue to not tell her how she "should"do a layout.

I have a dd 6 years old who is now getting as obsessed as I am. ( Scary thought) Her brother who is 5 wants to now because she is.

kelly I know what you mean about biting your tongue, my Roo likes to do her own style, without help MOM!!! I am learning to just let her create( she is very creative anyways__had her first art pieces in our local art gallery wehn she was 4)!! she can really do a good job, will have to share it when I get a scanner!

My dd who is five, loves scrapbooking. She hasn't really made any "real" pages yet but she loves all the supplies. She has a lot of her own stuff. I'm letting her get used to just making pictures and hopefully she'll want to make a book. She loooooves brads and chalk and of course stickers.

My son loves to distress paper. He chews and crumples it if he can get hold of it. He's 7 1/2 months old.

I am the daughter, and I have a mom who has scrapped a total of four pages, lol. She loves to buy supplies and print photos, but she just doesn't have time.

I, however, am on my fifth regular album, plus a heritage album, an ABC album, and my sister's (lives in AU) album.

oldest son did some pages of his school trip to washington, dc. dd likes to get out literally everything in our scrapping room and cover both the table and countertop; but, now that i think of it, i don't remember ever seeing a completed page!

Yeppers.. both my step daughters who are now 9 and 10 scrap. They have their own huge stash of scrapping supplies and a frequent buyer punch card for the LSS that they carry in their purses. They each have their own cameras that I get the film developed for them but then I also get doubles of my pictures for them to share. They are always quick to give new things a try. And, while I try to help them when they ask I usually just let them do their own thing. During scrapvivor they liked to try out the challenges with me. It makes it easier for me to find time to scrap with them doing it with me, I would hate to take time away from spending with them for anything.

My DD is only 19 months, but I hope when she is older she will scrap with me. I already bought her a scrapbook of her very own...lol.

My 20 year old does scrap even though she lives in Alabama, the reason I know this I supply her habit along with mine.

My baby is to little She's only a year old. I hope she wants to scrap wne she gets older...

My 12 year old daughter LOVES to scrap, and so does my 5 year old daughter. We have fun. The only thing is.. I'd rather scrap alone most of the time.. and they always want to join in. I try to split it about half and half.

My son is very close to his grandfather (my dad), and he wanted to make a heritage album of my Dad's old photos. I was secretly skeptical, but I finally copied the photos for him and I can't belive how beautifully it turned out. Truly a labour of love.

well, my daughter is 8 months , so No she doesn't scrap... YET !!! LOL
I HOPE that she will be artsy fartsy like her momma, and that she will do all the crafts I like to do,, crossing my fingers

Yes, yes, yes! My daughter is 31. She is my best friend! We both work full time and she is a busy Mommy too. Scrapping is our EXCUSE to get together. Every other Sunday is our day to scrap. She comes to my house and we spend the whole day talking, laughing and scrapping. Yesterday was our day to scrap. She brought my 5 year old grandson and he has his own paper, markers, scissors, etc., so he scrapped too. We're hooked for sure!!!

My 7 and 5 year old daughters both scrapbook. They are getting better as they go and wanting to use more of my goodies. They practically live at my Sizzix machine! I bought them a doll die and some clothing dies so that they can make their own paper dolls.
