It is a small company and they have trouble keeping up with the demand.

There is really an 8 month wait! I'll be getting mine in the next few days, and I did indeed wait 8 months! All the reviews rave about it, and I'm very tired of the fuzzy and or crooked edges from all of the myriad other trimmers I have tried! Figured I'd save money not to mention frustration by not purchasing anymore bad ones.

I posted this on the product review board but nobody has answered...I figured this board probably sees more use.

Does anybody have the Genesis Trimmer? Is it really worth the money? And what attachments did you get for it?

I REALLY want one but I am having a hard time justifying the money for it. I have a Falcon trimmer which I like okay but I wish it had more measuring space, I wish I could see where I was cutting, I wish it felt sturdier, and sometimes my cuts end up way off (this could be operator error).

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

I just googled this trimmer, and came up with some review sites on it. It looks nice and sturdy, but Huge! I have a different brand of huge trimmer that I hardly use because of its bulky size. That would be the only drawback for me. Otherwise, it gets really great reviews...

All of the pros use it.

The die-hards on the Veggie site etc. I *think* I'm getting one for Christmas. He'd better get it ordered if he wants it by December!

Wow! You have to order 8 months in advance?!?!?

That means either it's good, and they can't keep up with demand, or it's a small company who's growing and can't keep up with demand.

Or, if you're feeling negative, it means their demand is growing, but they aren't. That's not a good sign.
