oh, very nice! I bet I have some like those, my mom and grandmother had button boxes, My mom used to let me play with hers, I would sort them out, and have dance recitals with them, the ones that had a rhinestone on them were always the prima ballerinas and they got to do solos.

February 1 - Button Box

Many years ago my grandmother gave me her old button box. It's an old tin that she put buttons into from different shirts, dresses, pants, etc. Sometimes I dive in her for buttons for scrapping - but mostly I keep it for sentiment. If you look closely you'll see the threads from the original item left on many of them.
