Give a Cheer
This is layout for a calendar based baby book (First Year) for my BFF. Each month has 4 pages. One for the calendar and three for pages. I hand wrote the month titles with markers. The book goes from August 2011 through October 2012 (She's due in Sept.) All the printed materials in the book are from the Scrapbooker's Quick Guide-365 Special Days.
The edges are inked of all the paper are inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink-Faded Jeans. I used a lot of embelishments & paper scraps from my stash in this book.
For the Wishes Page, I had chipboard letters that didn't match so I sanded them down to take off the color and then colored them with markers and then used Perfect Pearls (blue) on them. For the pocket, I just looked up an image online and created my own template. I free handed and sewed the stitching on the paper. In the pocket is ten papers that the mommy-to-be can write her 10 wishes for her baby. I saw the idea in Michaels. The boots were left over from my BFF's bridal shower invites. :)
