This is a corral fence at a 200 year old ranch. Notice that the rails are large pipes, splayed at the ends and riveted together in between. Odd? VERY. In about 1920 Tucson dug up its old hand riveted water main pipes and replaced them. So what do you do with tons of old pipes? They went to a city official whose son owned a huge ranch, nearly 100 years later they are still strong and useful.
