I used Sketch Inspirations sketch #330 with photos of my youngest son after he got home from the orthopedist with a broken collar bone. It was the perfect layout for a masculine page! The word "Broken" is Thickers 'Fellow' chipboard letters. I used a green corrugated paper for the circle, and misc scraps for the 4-square and horizontal strip. Melody Ross (Make Something Better) and Tim Holtz (Embrace Imperfection) word embellishments and a rubber stamp "lucky me". The journal tag is from K&Co. Misc embellishments to mimic what one might find in a boy's pocket. I dug in my junk drawer for a xmas ligt fuse, eyelet screw and pen spring, assorted buttons, metal star brads, and even an old penny. My son suggested adding pocket lint, but I drew the line there! "So Much Pain" is written on little white jewelry tags and attached with metal brads. The tan paper was too plain for me, so I used my Glimmer Mists (Moss Green, Denim Blue & Suede) to speckle the paper. I finished with a few staples in the upper left corner and attaching the journal tag.
