For this layout, I took Janna's challenge to use a piece of art to inspire my page. I loved the way the book pages cascaded on the art piece and decided to try it on my page. I tore out the book pages and water-colored them. I just happened upon the pages that said “The Child's Story” and they were perfect! I added some gesso+mask by Studio Calico on my background to soften it a bit. Of course I added Heidi Swapp color shine, because it looks good on everything. :) I added just a hint of that dear lizzy pony paper. It was meant to be as well!I really love the way it made me think outside the box!If you are curious, the journaling reads:When we walked out of Grandma Susie's house this evening, just as we were getting in the car Malia squealed & ran to the fence. The neighbors had ponies in their orchard. We were in quite a hurry, but I'm glad I let her linger. You're only a kid once, right?
