I wouldn't have made these if I hadn't seen your cute Christmas charms. Mine are a bit rustic looking. It was the first time I'd used the Dremel to drill a hole, and it kind of got away from me. Also, my knife probably wasn't as sharp as yours so these are uneven. That doesn't bother me. I like the look.
Supplies:
One wine cork (I could have made two or three more charms if I'd had a sharp knife. I evened them up with a kraft knife. Now that was really sharp.)
Kodomo, Inc. stamps
Tombow Markers (Direct-to-Rubber Technique)
Winsor & Newton Artist's Workable Fixative (Go outside to spray this.)
Bead Landing 10mm Jump Rings (from Michael's)
Bead Landing Hoop Earrings (from Michael's)
When stamping on the cork, I put the inked stamp on the table ink side up and pressed the cork to the stamp. I was surprised at how easy it was to get a good image.
I put some Inkssentials Matte Accents on a practice piece, and it made the ink run so I used the Workable Fixative. I wonder if I can go back now and use the Matte Accents. I like the look of the raw cork, but I don't want them to be ruined as soon as someone spills some wine or eggnog.
