This is my niece, Sheila. My brother and his family have been trying to adopt her for nearly 8 years. Her adoption was halted due to governmental policy change when she was only a few months old. My brother and his family never stopped trying to adopt her. Today I learned that the Guatamalan government ruled in favor of the adoption. It may take a few months more, but she is finally coming home.
