I used a new embossing folder in my Cuttlebug and I heat-embossed the coloured poppies for the card on the right. I coloured them in with watercolour pencils, but I chose not to blend them this time. I liked the pencils lines, for a change. And I heat-embossed the poppy and the outer green scalloped circle on the card on the left. The scallops were cut on my friend Katie's Cricut machine. She also gave me the white lace trims and baker's twine, and she let me use her Shabby Shutters Distress Ink, Black Diamond Stickles, and "Hello" stamp.
Thank you, Katie ("KDQ"). We had a lovely lunch, complete with cupcakes, scrapped, and then had dinner together with our husbands too!
I used Ballerina Liquid pearls that were a gift from my mom ("Quick Silver") on the card on the left, along with Key Lime Liquid Pearls. Thanks, mom!
AND THANK YOU TO ALL WHO LOOK AT THESE CARDS AND ARE MOVED TO LEAVE A COMMENT. I APPRECIATE READING THEM VERY MUCH.
Thanks for spreading positivity!
