We went to Tulsa last night to meet my older daughter and son-in-law for her birthday. She's 36 this year, which I find hard to believe because I, myself, am only 33.

We never think to take a photograph until AFTER the table is a complete mess and we all have food on our faces or, in my case, down our shirt fronts.

I got her a pair of Bobs for Dogs shoes for her birthday. I bought them last month. Wrapped them in pretty paper. Made a gift tag. Put them together on my scrap table. And as we were driving into Tulsa, I realized that I'd walked out of the house without them. I was so mad at myself. I worked SO hard to remember to be thoughtful.

Hubby went back to Tulsa today to see his mom, and he took the gift with him. He'll take it to her at work today, but still... I cannot believe I was so ridiculously forgetful after all the work I went to getting it ready to give her.

::sigh:: You'd think, being 33, I'd have a better memory.
