I enlarged a distance photo taken of the city during the bus trip. Then I printed a same-sized photo that I'd found online that had the metal grate over a different view. It was a royal pain, but I used an Exacto knife to carefully trim away the other photo image except for the metal grate and then placed that over my photo to create the effect as if I had taken the photo of the city through a metal grate over a window.
