Im in the process of making my style cards from a Stampin Up kit I loved when I first saw it, Light the Candles Card Kit. Plus, I like to see how many cards I can make from one kit. This is the 2nd card I made from the kit (for the first one see my gallery called Happy Happy Birthday). This card is similar to the sample in the kit. The orange patterned background is actually the card base in the kit. My card is 6 x 6 so I opened the card base and cut it to make a 5 x 5 square. The line from the original card showed so I covered it up with the blue banner!! I cut the white part around the cake so there wasnt so much of it. I then made it into a shaker card. I felt the white was too plain so I used Confetti Die by Your Next Stamp to cut out all the little dots around the cake. The stamp sentiment was too big for my space so I just printed it on my computer. I used Sketch #1 from the August 2023 Card Sketch Challenge. The original sketch is MFTWSC290. I turned it on its side and instead of the banner going across the image I turned it into the tab on the side. I wasnt sure about the sketch but when I turned it I loved how it came out.
**see the gallery for all the cards made with this kit. In total (with duplicates) I was able to make 31 cards!!
