The Project That Did Not Go as Planned
I set out to make a protective zipper case for my mixed media glass mat. After choosing the materials for my project, I fused layers of double-sided fusible foam, quilted the fabric for durability, and carefully stitched the seams. However, I ran into a common first-time challenge: I installed the fusible foam before attaching the zipper. When I free-motion quilted the top, I encountered challenges I hadnt anticipated. I wasnt aware that the quilting would add extra bulk, and when I tried to insert my glass mat, it simply would not fit.
