Give a Cheer
Using black cardstock as a base I cut opposing corners from a floral cardstock using a circle cutter and placed them leaving a small ;border of black on the sides. Strips of a blue gemstone border were placed along the unadorned corners. The photo was double matted on bright pink and medium purple cardstocks and a calendar from the month placed in the bottom left. A flower and leaves were embroidered in the top right. To do this I drew a picture using my cricut and lightly adhered it to the black base. I punched holes using a weeding tool then embroidered the areas in the chosen color. The center of the flower is an enamel dot. After the embroidery was completed I used the weeding tool to remove the paper. Some paper was stuck so I went over it with a black marker to blend in.
