  • Is anyone having trouble with the plastic shim warping? I have replaced about 5 of them and haven't found the secret.   By: porsche (30-Dec-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • Hi... Yes I do. Warping plates is something we cannot avoid when it comes to die-cutting machine. I got this machine 3 years ago and still use the original plates. I just keep flipping them every time I use them. I washed the plates with warm water plus I soak them a few minute in very warm water (not too hot to touch) with putting heavy object on top of the section that need to be flatten, this will not make the plate perfectly flat but flat enough to continue its life of usage. Also, there are several tricks people share on YouTube how to take care the plates. I hope this answer can help you. Thank you. By: HelenGullett (02-Jan-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • can one buy from you a machine that is compatible for 220v (european Voltage)?
is ther a battery operated option ?

    • I bought a UK version of the A4 gemini with 220-240 voltage from ebay UK and have used it with a step up step down vo!tage converter. You need a voltage converter to use it in a country with different voltage, and a plug converter is not the same thing or the right thing. You will need a plug converter as well to be able to plug it in. Just don't think that is enough. I have seen many people blaming plug converters for burning out their appliances because they thought they were also supposed to be voltage converters. Make sure you get a voltage converter that is more powerful than you think you need (2 or 3x) or you can burn the machine out if it is a US model that you want to use with 220-240. I wanted one of that voltage because I plan to move back to England. I bought a gemini pro from Crafter's Companion UK site, the purchase of the UK model was confirmed, there was no contact at all from them, and then one day 5+ weeks later a US version was dumped at my front door. It was a major hassle getting them (CC US) to take it back. CC are ignorant of voltage converters and don't want to know. By: cynthialbbw (20-Aug-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I found a website for Crafters Companion for Great Britain and they say the machine cannot be shipped to US and Canada due to voltage requirements. Here is the URL… https://www.crafterscompanion.co.uk/crafter-s-companion-gemini-multi-media-machine.html

Hope this helps. By: vtredhd (29-Jul-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

What is the difference between the Gemini and Gemini Jr. as in size , weight and what they do.
Thank you   By: User (22-Oct-23) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • Hello,

The Gemini Junior is a smaller and more compact version of the original Gemini Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Just like the Gemini, it uses high pressure to cut intricate dies and designs with accuracy.

Its smaller 6” x 9” platform edge offers edge-to-edge cutting for A5 sized materials and is compatible with most metal dies and embossing folders.

The smaller size of the Gemini Junior makes it so much more portable, easy to pick up and go! And it comes with a die set and a 3D Embossing Folder so you can get started straight out of the box! By: Scrapbook.com (23-Oct-23) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Hello. You may be able to do this a cutting plate is likely needed for their to be a thick enough sandwich with appropriate pressure. We recommend using the clear cutting plate, magic mat, paper and die and then cutting plate on top. By: Scrapbook.com (03-May-22) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
