First disappointment after years of enjoying SCRAPBOOK pretties
As I hold 4 of these sheets I just ordered, I'm sorry to say I am also disappointed. Their label on the plastic sleeve describes this visually beautiful paper as "iridescent on printed vellum." It is not vellum. It is stiff glossy plastic acetate instead, but it would be stunning in the right hands for a modern look. It does remind me of the cute 1950's style with the tiny 4- and 6-pointed starbursts in between snowflakes. The second sheet that shows through behind it is a pretty pink, and it's just thin B&T paper, so it could easily be switched with other colors. I know it's just paper, but it's not my style. With my extensive collection of over 1,000 wood mounted rubber stamps, I have nothing modern to go with this paper for making cards. I need my foggy matte soft vellum.
