I thought this tool was more of a gimmick, but it actually works. The end of the tool has short, hard plastic “teeth” that enables the user to easily remove the top release paper from adhesives. I don’t usually struggle with this task, but have found myself reaching for the lifter several times since receiving it a few days ago. Thanks, SDC, for amazing free gifts.. **Gave four stars because if you don’t struggle with release paper, you don’t need this tool.

Stuck tape end? No problem.
It can even lift up some envelopes sans letter opener (though this may not always work out right).
Generally, it's meant to lift tape liners so that it'll save on broken fingernails!
This works like a charm! Easily pulls up the tape liner - ideal for really sticky tape.
I received the 2-pack of these lifters during a recent free with purchase promo from SBC. I have to say, I wasn't necessarily expecting that much, but these little things have amazed me. They work so well for removing not just liners from double-sided adhesive and foam tape, but also for finding lifting the end of packing tape (which can be almost impossible!) as well as removing stickers off things. I liked them so much, I ended up buying more of them to use as stocking stuffers for my crafty friends for the upcoming holidays.
I was hoping these would be better than using my pokey tool but it's really not. It has damaged the pattern paper which is thinner than cardstock. Maybe I'm to rough I dunno. Still keeping them as they were free but prolly won't be using them exclusively.
I really thought this was going to be pretty hokey .. surprise! It works great and I'm in love. I can never peal the backing off anything quickly, and it hurts my hands trying. This crazy looking gadget worked great.

This little tool set is going to be very interesting to try out. I've had trouble removing the liner from the kind of adhesive runners for many years, so it will be a relief if it makes the liners easier to remove.
