Maybe someone else will find this useful, I found it not really helpful due to construction. The way the mat fits to the side frames is flimsy to me. The time it takes to get this out to use it just isn’t worth it to me when it falls apart when I’m trying to use it that is my own personal opinion others may find it the perfect tool for them.

I bought this when it first came out and was very disappointed after I had used it a few times. Unfortunately, I had it too long to return.
I ordered another and the improvement is great.
I love it.
I have tried to call, left a message but no one has returned my call. My laser square is off by 3/8in. on one side and I tried to fix it like the paper work says, but that didn't work. I love the idea of this tool And would so love to get it fixed.
This product is a wonderful tool for any crafter, precision line up of letter, embellishments, photos on pages or for making cards.
This item is such an asset beyond what I originally thought it would be. Not only does it make scrapbooking more enjoyable it saves on time and those hair pulling times when you are trying to get things straight or even on a layout. It also helped me surprisingly to realise that a layer piece I was adding was not square because I could see that the paper wasn't aligning correctly with the laser! One battery housing was very difficult to open and I was scared I would break it but it eventually opened. Batteries are still going strong. Highly recommend this product.
This would be 5 stars but have to tweak the laser direction every time I get it out to use. Otherwise it is exactly as advertised and if you want to,line things up or draw a straight line it works great.
I am very excited to start to use this product. I wish I would have known what kind of batteries it needed in the beginning. Don't remember reading what it took. when I bought the 9Volts, 1 of the sides is not working like the other, so I am going to buy another battery to see if 1 might have been bad. I hope I am not going to have to return it.
This Laser Square and Mat from We ‘R Memory Keepers is very helpful with aligning letters, card layers (when placed on top of a card base for proper straightening), for placing embellishments on cardstock, etcetera.
I wish I had discovered it sooner!

Do you have to use it with the mat or can you use on any surface? For example, if I want to line something up to place on a piece of glass, will it still work?

Technically you can use it without the mat, but then your paper can slide underneath the "arms" allowing them to become crooked.

I bought this so I could take along on scrapbook retreats. However, once I put it together, I am unable to take it apart. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do.
