This works well with the Wall Box Storage System Starter Kit.
Since I have many spoils of ribbons, I bought this product. The ribbon spoiler that came with it is easy to use. Now I can save space and get rid of many bulky cardboard spools my ribbon was on. Since I have over 100 ribbons, I will be purchasing more of the ribbon holders in different sizes. It will also hold washi tape if the roll isn’t too large.
This is such a great idea, it was great for me because i do not have a lot of room.
I am not happy with this purchase. Two of the washi tape container's closures broke off on first opening. So now they do not stay closed. I have a variety of Washi tapes of different sizes & widths and none of them fit into the boxes so that they sit properly. As far as I am concerned these boxes are useless for Washi tape.
As for the ribbon starter - a sheet of instruction on how to use the device would have been helpful, especially if you are new to crafting as I am.
I would say this is an average product. I like the storage box to store washi tape in even though it can be a bit difficult to open. I thought the round containers more difficult to open than storage box. I can see a future issue of the hinges breaking if you open and close them often.
The ribbon winder is a great idea; however, it would be more practical if it had some sort of dowel or card to wind and store ribbon on. If you don’t keep a tight hold on it it unwinds easily and quickly. YES as others have said the winding handle needs to be larger.
I feel the small washi holders are useless because they do not hold any of the washi tape I have. I don’t like they are divided into compartments unlike the medium and large holders which are open spaces. The medium and large size round containers seem to be the ones to use especially since I will need to find a different solution for ribbon and lace. I did discover my 49 & Market collection will not fit any of the washi containers.
The plain storage boxes work great for my brushes, pens, and other items stacking on my desk and easily in reach when needed.
I like the concept of this ribbon storage container. I now have my huge collection of ribbon corralled into three of these boxes and it’s easy to pull the ribbon I need out of the dispenser. The only problem I’ve had is the latch on the box is hard to open and one of the plastic latches on the dispenser broke off the first time I opened it.
