These inks are amazing!! I absolutely love how vibrant the colors are and the ink pads are so juicy!! There is a learning curve to using these pads because it is a squishy foam pad and not a hard felt pad like TH Distress or Gina K. I also love the size of these ink pads they are almost double the size compared to the TH Distress ink cubes.
I'm new to stamping and inking. So I'm learning about different types of inks, brands, and techniques. I was looking for mini bundles with basic colors to get me started. This was my first Catherine Pooler ink purchase and very happy with it. I tried a cheaper brand and noticed the difference. The colors are rich, better quality, and easy to brush onto paper to create backgrounds as well as for stamping. I am definitely going to add more of her colors to my collection.
I love all of Catherine Poolers Ink Stamps.....
I have almost all, some are just colors I will never use.
I have minis in some colors and full size in other colors.
I use to buy them from CP but then I saw Scrapbook.com seems
to always have them cheaper, so being I buy from Scrapbook OFTEN... I just include a mini pack or a few full size ones that I don't have and want to add. I now have all her minis.
They are beautiful vibrant colors. The ink stamps so easily on paper. The ink pad is so juicy with ink, gentle patting unto the stamp, no need to press hard to make sure there is enough ink to stamp the paper.
This is my first CP set of inks. I wanted to try the minis before I got the large inks. What a great way to do things Catherine!
These inks appear to be on foam rubber and they ink up stamps very nicely without having to press hard on the pad. The images stamped are complete and smooth looking. Again, it's not necessary to exert a lot of pressure when pressing the stamp on to your paper. These are dye inks, so aren't permanent. There are a lot of colors to choose from. I like that with these mini pads, you can get 8 of the dozens of colors available in full-size pads. And because the ink so easily transfers onto stamps, you get the same coverage with minis as you would with a full-size pad.
I love the colors but compared to the larger free sample I received with my first order, I'm not fully impressed. They don't seem to be as full of ink as the larger ones. Was hoping to not buy refill ink until I decided to buy the big pads. Maybe I got an old set? Following some of the card making videos I can see the oval pads give you more technique options then the small square ones. Will save my money and try some larger pads. For sure a good size for trying them out. Beautiful colors!
Hands down, these are the best inks I've ever tried. I adore the mini size especially as I don't have space for an entire full pad collection.
Used in this project: Drawers: Inks & Markers
These coloured inks are so pretty, stamp cleanly and are all over coverage.
I love these ink pads. They print beautifully and I will be buying more of them.
