This five piece Designer Die set, Nested Stitched Beehive Hexagon, is part of the Bee Happy Collection designed by Lori Whitlock for Echo Park. This set features five hexagons with a row of stitching around the outside of the die. These dies are compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). These hexagons can be used on cards, scrapbook pages, tags, and other paper crafting projects. From inside out, the hexagons measure 2.5" x 2.2", 2" x 1.8", 1.6" x 1.4", 1.1" x 1", and 0.7" x 0.6". This set of dies is made in the USA.
These dies were ideal for what I was looking for; however, I was disappointed to see that the dies are held together with metal pieces that you have to break off in order to use the dies individually. I had to purchase a pair of metal snips in order to get a flush cut on the dies. If you try to just bend the metal strips until they break, they will leave sharp edges. I wouldn't recommend just for that reason as you can probably find other hexagon dies that are independent of each other in a finished product.
I thought these dies would be open on the inside which makes it easier to center them over a design or word. Each die is solid. However, it's a nice assortment and cute for cutting a variety of sizes of different papers to decorate cards. I've been making a lot of scrap cards lately and there's a die for every size scrap!
