I tried transparent nail polish, many different kinds of glue and hot iron before, as I love sharp and clean ribbon ends :) But I was never really glad with the effect. It's easy to use and on most ribbons unvisible when dry (just make sure you apply small amount to have a perfect look, but if you apply too much it's still only hardly seen). I'll buy this sealant again, this is for sure!
I didn't realize how addicted to this stuff I am until I ran out. I use ALOT of ribbon, and the majority of it frays and unwraps so easily, so this product is my lifesaver! It is so easy to use, dries pretty quick, and on most ribbons you can barely see it.
Fray Check liquid seam sealant is a must-have for ribbon lovers. If you've used ribbon, you know that some types can fray easily, sometimes ruining the look of the layout. A few drops of this ribbon sealant solves that problem. It goes on easily and dries clear. As the previous reviewer mentioned, it does momentarily change the color of some ribbons as it dries, but don't panic; it does dry clear.
I bought this last year when I was doing a rolodex card swap that I used ribbon that tends to fray. Its quick and easy. I sealed the ends of 100 ribbons in minutes. No mess. Momentarily changes the color of the ribbons (like if they were wet) but then dries clear.
I really liked this product it stopped the the fiber of the ribbon to pulled out

I have several rolls of a thick twine that quickly unravels on the ends when you cut it. Will this product work on twine?
