I am only just starting into mixed media, and have not used this stencil yet. Can understand the previous reviewer's remarks as it seems to complicate things. Think it is just letting you know that there is a 'stickier' back surface that is covered and needs removal before use. I'm sure the sticky surface is great for using the product. Don't know how the surface will stand up over time.
I love the product but can't figure out how to use it. I don't think the directions are very clear or complete.
