This three piece Honey Cuts Steel Craft Die set, Lakeside Scene Builder is part of the Adventure Awaits Collection from Honey Bee Stamps. This die set features a beautiful lake scene along with an oar and a canoe. These dies are compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). These dies can be used on cards, scrapbook pages, and other paper crafting projects. The oar measures 0.468" x 0.203" and the scene measures 5.531".
I have always loved Honey Bee stamps and dies but this particular die left me feeling disappointed. The first time I ran it through my Cuttlebug it cut the outline of the mountains but the rest of the die barely made an impression on my paper. In order to get the details to show up at all, I had to run the die through several times with some additional thickness in my sandwich. I chose not to purchase the matching stencil set because I wanted to see if I could do my own Copic coloring. Unfortunately that wasn't an option because the details that the die-cut left were not prominent enough.
It turns me off when I'm required to purchase multiple pieces before I'm able to create anything. Obviously its another way to make more money by making all the pieces separate purchases but in a case like this, I just won't use the die until I see a supplier put the matching stencil set on sale.
