I’m really enjoying my Momenta Freestyle machine for die-cutting and embossing for my cardmaking. After years of use, my cute little Cuttlebug’s embossing (B) plates were very worn and marked-up, but replacement plates were nowhere to be found because the machine is no longer being made. The Freestyle was an excellent replacement because — like the Cuttlebug — it takes up very little place, but — unlike the Cuttlebug — its larger opening allows me to use large embossing folders, etc. I also purchased the Magic Mat from Scrapbook.com and am very happy with this combined purchase!
This machine is a great size and easy to use. However, the cutting plate does not last long. It becomes warped in a very short period of time and is uunuseable. I am going to have to buy another machine and mine is not two years old. Replacement parts are hard or impossible to get.
I love this diecutting/embossing machine!! It's so sleek and easy to use!! I ordered it, along with other products, on a Sunday night and it arrived only 4 days later!! And that was just the standard delivery too! Everything was packaged well!! I haven't been able to play with it much due to sickness, but I sure plan to very soon!! I have cards to make!!! I decided to get a mid size machine. I have a BIG one twice the weight of this and a wee small electric one all different brands. So I was leaning towards two others when I caught a Video on this and then a second & quickly decided this was what I was looking for. Nice clean lines I love it's narrow profile and easy to set aside when sides folded up and just a well made overall machine. I took off a star because I am having some trouble getting my vinyl faux leather fabrics through which I use for earrings and what have you using it's sandwich. It's just too thick. Since I use a lot of thicker papers and materials this is something I will need to work out with it. Finding a lighter cutting sheet or trying other brands of less thick plates might be the answer. But I think it's made solid enough though the opening could be a bit wider for my thicker 3D embossing plates and thick materials I favor for my crafts. (I don't make a lot of cards pese.)
I love this machine. It’s so much easier to move then my last one. I really like that you don’t need two plates and I find it easy to just flip it with my next use so it will wear evenly. Last but not least I love that it folds up doesn’t take up much space in my already crowded studio thanks for a great product

Are the replacement plates available yet for this machine or can uou tell me the size and thickness so I can try to find some elsewhere. I have had this machine about two months and have worn the plates out. The top, clear, one is very bowed and cracked. I am taking a cardmaking class and it is very inconvenient not being able to use this machine.

Why does is hang up while turning????
I've found the issue is with thickness of your "sandwich." If it's too thick, it hangs up. If too thin, it slips. I've given up on using 3D embossing folders because they are too thick. If slipping, I add a piece (or more) of cardstock or packaging until it presses appropriately.

Can you cut steel rule dies with this...like the bigz? Also can you use 3d embossing folders with this? Thanks for your help ❤️
