What can I not say enough about Tsukineko! I have all the colors of their dew drop inks in the dye based, chalk and metallics and them mini versafine instant dry pigment inks and just added this baby to test the line and cant wait to add the entire color collection of this one as well.this is now the best of both worlds, of fine detailing and can embossing if I want should I decide 5-10 minutes later to add that little extra detail.
I had never used this ink before. I watched a YouTube video by Sevenplaza's Margaret. I was so impressed with her results and bought the Versa Fine Claur Nocturne. I had been perfectly happy with the previous black ink I had used for years. But when I used the Versa Fine Nocturne, I was amazed at the clarity and fineness of the imprint it delivered. Even if your rubber stamp is very detailed, you will get a very defined image. So happy with it!

I have had alot of mediocre stamp pads lately; some were dry when I got them. This versa fine clair was a welcome surprise.
Absolute best black pigment I've found.. Very clear and crisp. Wish you carried the Reinker.
This pad replaces my drying out original Versafine. I never thought I'd say this, but...I'm glad my Versafine dried out, I like this even better! The ink pad is smaller than my other pads, but didn't seem to make any difference in my stamping.
I don't often use cheapo acrylic stamps, but I saw a set online that was so cute, I had to buy it.
Usually with these type of stamps, I have to lightly sand the surface with a fine grit nail file in order to get a good impression. Not the case with this Clair ink! I decided to do a test-stamp before sanding. After rubbing the new stamps with just my fingers to "prime" them (as we do on polymer stamps), I was shocked how perfect it came out. No sanding needed.
With the polymer and rubber stamps, it's the same. Crisp, clean coverage and perfect impressions. Copics color beautifully over this ink.
Tsukineko makes the best ink pads! VersaFine tops it in crisp and vivid stamping!

What is the difference between Versafine Clair and Versa Color.
Yes both pigment ... though versafine is an oil based pad and dries quicker than regular pigment inks. Also versafine actually conditions your stamps. It’s also great for detailed stamps and solid stamps. I use the versafine Clair for most of my stamping. May need to emboss on glossy surfaces though.

I there any difference between the Versa Fine and the Versa Fine Clair except for the Versa Fine is oil based and quick drying. They both say for fine detail. Is the Versa Fine Clair better for embossing? I am wondering why you would use one over the other.

Hello, the VersaFine Clair is a refinement of the Versafine line/formulation. They are essentially both the same oil-based pigment ink. The tone of black is slightly different between the two where Versafine is more of a brown-black and Versafine Clair Nocturn is more of blue black.
