If you make a lot of the paper bag albums or smaller albums this machine will help speed up that process. It is not electric so it requires a little work, feeding the paper in and turning the handle. Each sheet will cut to the exact same size. It will cut Bazzill cardstock like butter, but the instructions recommend NOT cutting chipboard. It will cut the thinner paper up to two sheets at a time, and the blades are self sharpening. I would not recommend cutting the papers that have glitter on top or the raised foam, as this might damage the blades. Great Machine I'm so glad that I've added it to my collection of scrapbooking tools.
I am absolutely delighted with this product. I cannot believe how simple it is to cut page after page after page of the exact same sizes. I saw a review that a person wrote that hers was off 1/16" of an inch. First place, I thought well, so often that is what drives me nuts when I use any of my paper cutters or as I have a muscle disease so often my hand slips a bit with the ruler should I use my craft knife. I was hoping for better but my thought was "oh well, I will give it a try" ... MUCH TO MY DELIGHT ... each and every page was exact. I am not sure but I would think that possibly she did not have the paper guides tight on the paper so that each page went in exactly the same as the last of the same size. Otherwise, honestly, I am not sure how it could have happened ... unless her machine had the blades off a bit ... all I know is so far mine is fantastic ... I AM SOLD ON IT!
My daughter helped me cut 4x6 pages - and thin clear plastic covers for a memorial album we were making for my husband's grandmother. I'm very uptight about straight cuts, and this did a FANTASTIC job! I love that you can cut all different sizes - 8x8, 6x6, 4x6, etc. Kids can help with it, too. It's safe and easy.
I was a little skeptical that I would like this, but from the moment I put in my first piece of paper to cut and turned the handle I was totally amazed. It works so well that all I can say is WOW, I love it! This is going to make it so much easier to complete mini books as well as other projects.
I was lucky enough to use a DreamKutz at a make and take I was teaching at an expo and I fell in love with it!! So much so that I got one! lol! If you like to make mini books and/or cards this is the best addition to your tools you could ever make!
