Questions & Answers
  • Are these comparable to the Faber-Castell Gelatos? Or are those something different? If they are similar, which is better? I have the Prima water color pencils, which I love the colors & quality, but haven't gotten into the Gelatos or water soluble oil pastels..I'm one of those people that wants to try it all, when it comes to art supplies :) Thanks in advance, for any feedback/advice!   By: alyssenicole (20-Nov-15) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! How do you use these these for?? What does water soluble oil for?   By: User (20-Sep-15) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • you can use them as oil pastel purposes like drawing, painting, coloring, scrapbooking, card making, etc. Also you can use them as watercolor since it's water soluble. So you can think of it as a watercolor crayon but can also be used as oil pastels. (hope I'm making sense, lol!)
Feel free to watch tutorials and project videos on youtube of the this product to get more ideas :)

For Scrapbooking How do I 'set' these so they do not smear Off of CardStock onto photos ? Also When Used with water what is used to 'set' finished work so it doesn't come off onto opposite page like in an art journal?   By: User (05-Jul-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I haven't ever used anything to set them. I just make sure they are completely dry. I do believe there is a setting agent that some artists use. I use mine in art journaling & mixed media. I leave the pages open ovetnight to dry up and keep a piece of palette or wax paper between the paged for a couple of days. After that they don't smear. But I think cardmaking or scrapbooking would need a setting, By: pauladevi (06-Jul-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
