I was hoping this would be a good alternative to compressed air for moving alcohol inks, blowing flowers. It is so so, easier to squeeze than the harder camera cleaners that I have, but it still doesn't move things as nicely as canned air.
This works great, no trying to move around with straws or brushes. I love the wispy look of moving alcohol inks with air. This has great air flow and you can change direction, moving the inks around the paper faster than with a straw. I bought one from Amazon because it was sold out everywhere else, very expensive! Half the price here including shipping!
What a handy gadget. Blowing through a straw practically killed me from lack of air to a sore neck and no control with the air flow. The air blower was a welcome relief. I kept my mind and had wonderful control with the air flow and direction. Highly recommend.
I am new at Alcohol Ink and had difficulty using hair dryer. I did a bunch of samples just to practice and find I prefer it to any other source of air I have. Love it!!! because I can control small areas I want to move with out blasting the whole page away.
This has been such a great tool to use with alcohol inks. I use to use a straw and it would get condensation in it and then drip onto my yupo. This has been such a joy to use, and no need to breath in alcohol fumes.
I like this Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Blower. It is very easy compared to using a straw. Now if I can just do better with alcohol inks, I will be on my way!
I am just learn ing alco inks........and am using the puffer.......fantastic....
goood control on how much air puffs out........easy to use.
This alcohol ink blower exceeded my expectations, it has powerful air-blowing action that is perfect for moving color around.
I am new to alcohol inks, but this item has to be a part of the tools I use. I tried a straw (BAD idea, you are too close to the inks and breathing in the fumes!!!) So then I attmpted using canned air. Its too difficult to control. With the blower I have just the right mix. If you want to try alcohol ink blending, get the blower and blending solution first!
I have wanted to try working with alcohol inks. Bought some straws and was ready to start. Then I learned that blowing through a straw was harmful. When you blow through the straw you run the risk of sucking the fumes backup and into your lungs. This works great and no worries of damaging my lungs,
