Great tool w/ tons of poss! YA!
2) Where I don't like the style of 'how': Stampin' Up Co makes their ink pads - to open & shut the pad is a hassel -- I can use these pads & S.U. refill bottles to make a pad the color I want...WITH THE PAD STYLE I LIKE MOST!!
These are wonderful pads. It is so nice to be able to make a pad with whatever colors you want.
I purchased this dry pad to see if I could take my Distress Inks and Oxide Sprays (which I just don't like using in spray form) and make an ink pad out of them. I had ordered so many colors of sprays for variety and then discovered that I really didn't like the look of the spray results. Some of the bottles I hadn't even opened yet because of this. I only have tried one and so far, I am pleased and will order some more pads. Since my inks weren't labeled "re-inkers" I was concerned maybe it wouldn't work. My fingers are crossed that after weeks + on the pad, it still gives me the options of using a blending brush or stamp. And, there is still product in the bottle in case I want to spray the color or need to refresh the pad.
I had lots of fun creating my own custom ink pads. I broke the pad up into thirds and layed down inks from the same color family for a multi-colored effect when stamping. You can then use a blending sponge to customize the lid with the three colors.
First, let me say, Thank you to Ranger/Tim Holtz and Scrapbook.com for making such a great product available at such a great price.
I needed more ink pads for some of my reinkers. And these were perfect! As I said, the price was affordable, and that made it easier for me to get the quantity I needed. Thank you both!
These ink pads are great for making your own colors or even ombre colors. They are made of a very good quality. And so far, all the ranger/Tim Holtz ink pads I have, have stood up very well to my abuse. So much so, I choose these to be used for some new ink colors.
Grab them while you can. It's a very good buy and great product!
I will be using these pads to use with my letter press ink tubes from my stash. I bought the better press and cant wait to use it.
