These Gingerbread House treat boxes are great to make for any occasion as a Gift Card Holder. I used the house & cut patterned cardstock with snowflakes, deer, and gold patterned foiled for the girls: and wood plank, plaids w foil for the boys -- for Christmas to hold our gift cards to our family members. I layered the shingles in 6 pieces on each side to add extra color to go with the cardstock. They all loved them and they were unique to each individual.

This die set makes the cutest little treat boxes! The only problem is that it takes a long time to cut out all of the pieces you need. It would be better if there were at least two of the scalloped shingle pieces. I cut through two pieces of paper at a time, but you need 8-10 pieces to shigle the roof.

I missed buying this when it was first released. I thought it might be too small. But OMG! It is the perfect size (especially with the price of candy these days lol!). It is so easy to make and decorate. I really appreciated the how to videos. The dies cut perfectly! Did I mention that it is just so darn cute? LOVE! I purchased it during the free shipping weekend and I received it very quickly. Thank you!!

We got them all (so far!) they are SO cute. Easy to make and decorate. We have used them as thank you's: one with a necklace and others with candy. Great to have on hand when you need a quick gift.
I used this box to make Gingerbread house Christmas ornaments for the tree. Put Velcro dots on the bottom so that it can open and close, and fold flat for storage to be used for next year too! It took 4 small velcro dots to close the bottom, and it held well even with lots of candy inside. I also found the box was easiest to decorate if you leave it flat to put all the pieces on. Love this little box! Plan on using it next year to make all my Christmas cards so that everyone on my card list has a Gingerbread house candy ornament for their trees.

This lil treat box is really cute. It came with the Valentines Day add-on and I also purchased the Gingerbread add-on. The pieces cut beautifully. Our church group of girls 8-12 will be making their own versions in a few weeks. I assembled the main piece ahead of time. It doesn't take long, but it needs to be done carefully so all the paper joints fit well. I cut out a bunch of window and door options in different colors and patterns of paper. It will also be a great way to give teacher gifts when the time comes.

I agree with another post in that it would be nice to have more than one of the roof piece as that takes so much longer that even one additional one would cut down on time for prep, but I love the versatility of this piece and look forward to trying some of the add ons.

I love the look of these adorable houses, and want to order them, however, I do not see any dimensions for the dies themselves. Is the largest die 6 inches wide or smaller? I am using a Spellbinders Platinum 6, and need to know if the dies will fit this platform?

There are two square dies included with the treat box die set; one is 2 1/4" and one is 2 1/8". I am confused as to how these are used with the house treat box.

Hello, the two squares included in the die set can be used on the sides of the house if you want to put a message or sticker on the box. Depending on the type of paper you use for the box, you may need a space to write, and these squares can be used to do that by using them to cut a piece of white paper or something lighter. The squares are different size so that one fits inside the other if you wish to stack them or want to use one size over the other.
