Don’t black list your favorite ink pad, we are here to help! Rejuvenate your ink pad easily with the exclusive Black Premium Dye Reinker by Scrapbook.com. Black is a must-have staple in your stamping tool stash, it is a color that you will use repeatedly. It’s perfect for your Halloween, graduation, New Year’s Eve and every day stamping projects!

Contents: One premium reinker

Color: Black

Type of Ink: Dye ink

Size: .5 fluid ounce

Reinkers are an inexpensive way to extend the life of your Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid, Dye or Pigment Ink Pads. To use; simply shake the bottle, squeeze a few drops on the ink pad surface and work the ink evenly into the pad with the bottle nozzle. It’s that easy! Now your Scrapbook.com ink pad is rejuvenated and ready for more creative projects.

We recommend that you store your reinker bottles upside down to keep them flowing smoothly and minimize air bubbles that can mess up your projects.

What is the difference between dye, pigment and hybrid ink? Dye inks are water-based and literally dye your paper; the ink is soaked up by the paper, so they dry fast, it’s almost instantaneous. Pigment inks are made of tiny particles that will sit on top of your paper and will take a longer time to dry; they work great with heat embossing. Hybrid inks are the best of the two (dye and pigment) as they have properties of both types of ink. They tend to be a more translucent type of ink and are recommended for all skill levels.

Our dye ink pad and reinker are proudly made in the USA. This is an exclusive Scrapbook.com product!

Project materials that work well with dye inks:

  • Paper, cardstock, glossy paper, vellum, photos, acetate, vinyl, porcelain, terra cotta, wood, leather, fabric and paper clay

Fun ideas of what you can create using dye ink:

  • Stamped images
  • Use your favorite markers to color on your stamped images
  • Watercoloring
  • Wood veneer shapes
  • Glassine treat bags
  • Canvas art
  • Clothing or fabric art
  • Home décor
  • And so much more!

  Dye ink is compatible with:

  • Acrylic stamps
  • Rubber cling stamps
  • Wood mounted stamps
  • Photopolymer
  • Mixed media projects
  • Art journals
  • Altered art projects

Tips:

  • Dye inks are water-based and literally dye your paper; the ink is soaked up by the paper, so they dry fast – it’s almost instantaneous
  • The ink is waterproof
  • Tends to stain your stamps, be sure to clean after each use
  • Do not use with Copic/alcohol markers, ink will bleed

  • I cannot find a paper that this ink doesn't bleed and feather on

I received this pad in a bundle with the entire Scrapbook.com collection and was really excited to use it. I have never been let down by an ink more.

I initially tried it on Neenah Solar White 80 lb cardstock. The gold standard of white card paper, right? I stamped an Altenew flower outline on it and once I lifted up I could see that the ink had started to bleed outwards and feather slightly. I wasn't getting a crisp outline but a blurry one. But since this was a Build-A-Flower I thought I'd continue.

I gave it time to dry and then stamped the second layer using the Scrapbook.com Ballet Slipper hybrid ink. This made the dye ink bleed more! This ink is totally useless to me and now I'm going to have to go out and get a new Memento Tuxedo Black since this is not going to work. I'm very, very disappointed.
