Key Features:
I liked the fact that they fit in my Ikea Kalax cube system. Rated 3 stars because they are not as sturdy as my other 12 x 12 card stock holders. Given that they are made of a thin cardboard, I'm not sure how they'll stand up over repeated use of taking papers in/out. They work ok when packed inside a cube (3).
However, my sturdier card stock holders do not work with the Ikea cubes, which is central to my organization system.
I just love the storage boxes. They keep all of my crafting papers and stickers neat and right where I can find them. They are very strong and do not take up a lot of room. They are an excellent buy for the money spent.
Oh yes, I put one in my pantry too. Keeps all my foil, wax and cling wrap paper standing up and easy to find!
I love the size of these and I have put my 12x12 pads and loose leaf papers in these which fit so nice in my Ikea shelves. Before, the papers were all crammed in the shelves and would curl so these help keep them flat.
But it would be nice if there was a strip of sticky on the bottom because after you construct them, they are not secure.
OK...you can't beat the price for this set of paper storage boxes. And, they are easy to put together and they hold a TON of paper. All of these are things that I love.
But the one big downside, and to me it's a really big issue, is that the front of the box has a tendency to collapse on itself leaving it all dented and not so great looking.
These need to be made of slightly more dense corrugate, then they would be perfect.
This is the best product I've purchased to this point for my organization project. I purchased 10 of them for all the rainbow colors plus brown , black and white. More to purchase for " special " paper, and other colors, tye, dyed, etc.
I found these real simple to put together. Decorating will be so easy...
This is a great product. Is it as good as the plastic ones?Yes. But please remember they are cardboard. They look, feel and perform like cardboard. Are they sturdy cardboard? Yes. I only ordered one set. The only negative comment I would make is order two sets.
I am ordering another set today, along with two sets for my 8 1/2x 11 paper.
These are certainly attractive, but have little substance to them. They're flimsy and must be handled carefully when you have paper in them or have to move them. Best if supported from both sides, as on a bookshelf, as they have a tendency to tip sideways. The price is right, but I wish I'd spent more on something more substantial.
I'm in the process of doing over my art room to store currently used supplies. My closet has shelves all the way up the 9 ft high walls. So I am psyched to assemble these 5 Tiffany holders to start the process. If I like them I'll order more. They look like they'll be sturdy enough and they're more affordable than the horizontal style clear plastic units you sell.
The closet will help protect the paper from sunlight (no door) and I'll use an Ott light in there to discern colors. I love SBC!
Paper storage is generally quite costly so it was a boon to find these and on sale, no less. They have the room to hold quite a bit of paper, but they are not reinforced cardboard and so need some extra support from you when moving them around to find your papers and some care in placement so they don't tip over when partially loaded.
These are a great product if u don't wanna spend a lot of money but remember THEY ARE CARDBOARD. I have some nice clear plastic ones that I bought about 10yrs ago but I couldn't find them anywhere so I purchased 2 sets of these. They work better if u don't have to pull them out to use them- like if u can just chose your paper with them sitting where they are cuz the fronts wanna bend some from weight of paper. Overall, if u keep in mind that they are cardboard- they did what I needed.
