The eclips Electronic Shape-Cutting Machine allows you to cut shapes and letters exactly how you want them. Resize your shapes to within 1/100th of an inch or create borders to decorate your 6", 12", 18" or 24" projects. Sizzix has teamed up with Sure Cuts A Lot to provide software that works with the eclips. This exclusive software is caled eCAL. Load it onto your computer and create your own designs. You can cut, score or draw with the press of a button! In this package, you will receive the 12" eclips machine, a handheld remote control, a universal power supply, two cutting blades, a blade holder, the power cord, a six-foot USB cable, a starter cartridge and booklet, an easy storage case for your cartridges, a 12" x 12" cutting mat and a user guide. Everything you need to get started will be included in this package! This portable machine takes the guesswork out of electronic shape cutting. It will auto select the speed and pressure required to cut your materials. There is a two-speed blade movement that will ensure quick, correct positioning every time. Adjust the blade depth depending on whether you're cutting vellum, paper, cardstock or chipboard. There are also preset and custom sizes available. You can be reassured your shape will be cut perfectly, the first time, thanks to the laser image preview. To make it easy to transport your Sizzix to crops, this machine includes a handle.

Please note that in order to use this system with your computer, you require Windows XP/Vista or Windows 7. To use it in a Mac-based system, Mac OSX 10.5, 10.6 or 10.7 and an Intel-based processor are required. This system will require at least 512 MB of RAM and 50 MB of available hard disk space. The EClips must be plugged into a USB Port 1.1 or 2.x and Internet access is required for activation.
The included handheld remote control will allow you to performs all functions remotely. This remove includes a high-resolution, LCD screen that measures 3.6" so you can preview your images. You will be able to easily navigate the functions of your machine right from the remote screen! Use the sliding screen to access a full keypad. This remote is comfortable to hold or use on a table. It can be used in English, French, Spanish or German.
Features of the EClips are: A shape library that features ready-to-cut shapes; Boolean operations that allow you to exclude, intersect or unify shapes; create unique-looking shapes by adding the included patterns or creating your own; Print2Cut function allows users to cut around their shape and print; a virtual cutting mat allows you to see what you cut; fill solids, expand shadows and weld shapes; use or modify JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF and PNG files; the auto trace function will change images into a design you can cut; laser cut preview allows you to see where you cut beforehand; Pen Holder (optional) allows you to draw shapes instead of cutting.
EClips Cartridges can be changed while the machine is on. You will be able to cut borders to decorate your projects ranging in size from 6" to 24". For your convenience, there is a command that will allow you to search for any shape you desire. If there's a design you use often, add it to the "favorites" folder for easy access. There are many functions to give you greater creative options, including a picture-in-picture and mirror function. Your designs can be used in a variety of styles, including original, border, outline, shadow and solid. Some cartridges include extra embellishments and add-ons for certain shapes.
